Reclaiming the International Fair, Tripoli
2024
The project transforms the existing Bresso Airfield in Parco Nord Milano into a next generation vertiport embedded within a continuous urban landscape. Positioned between the city and the open field, the proposal establishes a clear interface that connects infrastructure, research, and public life.
Two linear volumes housing a research laboratory and a flight academy are elevated above the ground to preserve permeability and maintain the continuity of the park. Below, a recessed layer accommodates hangars and operational spaces directly linked to the runway, ensuring efficient and uninterrupted aircraft movement.
